Career Readiness for Young Parents Launch Event
May 2018
On the 16th of May2018, Bridging the Gap celebrated the launch of the Career Readiness for Young Parents Program on the Mandurah foreshore. The Minister for Social Services, the Honourable Dan Tehan MP and the Federal Member for Canning, Andrew Hastie MP attended the celebrations to launch the program. Approximately 50 guests from local Mandurah and Rockingham agencies attended the launch along with Board and staff members from Bridging the Gap. Commercial cookery students from Empyrean supplied a delicious range of baked good for the morning tea.
The Career Readiness for Young Parents is a program run by Bridging the gap in both Mandurah and Rockingham that aims to help young parents 25 years and under who have been on parenting payments since teenagers to become career ready.

The mighty eco warriors of the Certificate II for Conservation and Land Management were commissioned by CSBP Kwinana to design and plant their front garden. So on the 3rd of May 2018 they took to the task and within a short time the task was complete.
